Hi Toni
Thanks for putting a link on to my site (equinecompetitions.co.uk). You are doing a great job. Just wish I had plenty of land to help you in your quest, to save these lost souls - our friends horses. Hope you get plenty of feedback/funds through my site. One or two people have already said they are going to do the ride at Escrick. Good luck with everything.

Ive just found your web site and would like to congratulate you on all your marvellous work, my sister and I,[both in our forties] have a rescue from york horse sales, Evie was a very thin, frightened four yr old 3/4 warmblood x 1/4 shire, we noticed a young man whipping her on a lunge line in the collecting ring, I managed to keep my cool and offered him £600, after a bit of detemination he gave in and we bought her, we had never seen a more pathetic sight, she was dead in the eye and had totally give up, all the fight had been beaten out of her, when we got her home we realised she had just had a foal taken from her, also her tounge had a cut where the bit goes and was practically in half, her hip bones, ribs and spine were visible and she was petrified, 7 yrs on, she is the most loving, cheeky character. I find it difficult to go back to the sales as I find the horse trading world an affront to decency, especially in the hunting and racing fraternity. We keep our horses for life and have recently aquired a 28yr old that will get some tlc. If only more people were like us. Keep up the good work. We are not alone.
Reply Very nice site!
